IFWE’s Message of Work on Washington Post

We need to restore a vision of work that has been lost in this county – a vision of work that can make a positive, sustainable difference in our nation for the flourishing of all mankind as well as for the individual doing the work.

IFWE was given the opportunity to respond to the October 18th presidential debate in the “On Faith – Local Leaders” section of Washingtonpost.com. Hugh Whelchel, IFWE’s executive director, argues that today’s political rhetoric misses the true meaning of work.

“Instead of seeking the peace and prosperity of the city, we’re seeking our own comfort with no real concern for our communities,” he says.
