Encourage someone at work this Christmas
Would you encourage someone in their work this Christmas?
No matter how well we plan, Christmas is never all we hope it will be.
Even if you get the whole family to the Christmas Eve service in between last-minute wrapping and cooking, something is still missing. Once December 25th comes and goes, there’s a deep sense of longing.
A longing for something deeper.
A longing for something other than what all the gifts and good cheer can offer.
A longing for something that you get a glimpse of in Christmas, but never fully experience.
Many people feel a similar longing in their everyday work, too. They sense in their bones that they were made for something great—for an important mission. But their work is exhausting and seems mundane and useless.
If you’ve been reading the IFWE blog, you have hopefully been encouraged to learn about the eternal value in our work. God has given each of us an incredible opportunity to participate with him in his great plan of redemption and restoration. And it’s through the everyday work of our hands that we get to do this!
But not everyone knows this amazing truth. Many get discouraged about their work as a new year looms. Someone in your family or in your office may need to be encouraged to know that their work matters to God.
Would you join us in a movement of encouragement this Christmas?
With a tax–deductible end-of-year gift of $50 or more to the Institute for Faith, Work & Economics, you will receive a complimentary copy of Hugh Whelchel’s book, How Then Should We Work? to give to someone who needs encouragement in their work, or keep for yourself!
(Offer good through Dec. 31, 2017. New monthly recurring donations of $25 or more also qualify!)
Your generous gift will help IFWE continue its work of empowering Christians to use their vocation to change the world.
We look forward to hearing how God uses you to encourage others with this powerful message!
