Jonathan Moody

Senior Advisor, Strategic Initiatives

Jonathan A. Moody serves as the Institute’s Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives. In this role, he partners with the Institute to accelerate existing and new initiatives and develop broader partnerships in order to educate and inspire more individuals to live flourishing lives.

His additional roles include: Member of the Board of Directors for Mel Trotter Ministries, Co-Founder of Aligned Works Venture Talent, LLC, and Founder and CEO of Jonathan A. Moody & Company. 

He has previously served as a Vice President of A.C. Fitzgerald & Associates, where he partnered with freedom-advancing, nonprofit organizations to grow in the areas of leadership, infrastructure, and fundraising. Prior to that, he served as the Managing Director of PovertyCure, a global media and educational initiative of the Acton Institute (Grand Rapids, MI) that champions the God-given human dignity of every individual and advances human flourishing for those experiencing poverty around the world. In that role, he led a partner network of 400+ organizations spread across 144 countries, advanced the PovertyCure Video Series and the film, Poverty, Inc., and led development of the PovertyCure ReThink Missions Toolkit.

Previously, he served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE). During his tenure at FEE, the organization’s revenue doubled. Prior to FEE, he also served as Director of Donor Relations for the American Legislative Exchange Council and the Director of Membership for the American Conservative Union.

Jonathan is an alumnus of the Koch Associate Program at the Charles Koch Institute and the Atlas Think Tank MBA program. He holds a B.A. in Government and Public Policy from the University of Baltimore. Jonathan lives in Grand Rapids, MI, with his wife, Esther, and their two energetic children, David and Ruby.
